Corporate events and business functions in Bournemouth
Last updated: September 2026
Ashbury Lounge sits on Bath Road, a few minutes from the BIC, and is hired privately for meetings, conferences, delegate dinners and team functions.
The function room takes up to 100 standing or 60 seated, the bar a further 30, with in-house catering and one event at a time, so a booking is never sharing the building or the day with another party.
No obligation … come and see the room, then decide. Or call 01202 144484.
How much does a meeting room cost?
Ashbury Lounge does not publish a price list. There is a room hire fee, and it moves with what your booking spends on food and drink together. Tell us your date and your numbers (headcount, catering and drinks) and what the day involves, and we will give you a figure before anything is booked.
What size groups does the room suit?
For a seated meeting or a working dinner around tables, plan on around 50. The function room also takes up to 100 standing or 60 seated for a larger conference dinner or reception, and the bar handles a further 30 on its own for a smaller group. We quote each space on its own rather than giving one combined number.

What does Ashbury cover under corporate events?
Meetings, conference dinners, delegate functions near the BIC, networking breakfasts and away-days all run through the same room, the same in-house catering and the same one-event-at-a-time structure.
Say which one describes your booking when you call, and nothing on your date is shared with another company's function.

What catering does Ashbury provide?
Catering is cooked in-house, from working lunches through to a full sit-down dinner, with halal catering available. If you need your own caterer, talk to us.

The practical bits, before you ask
Central Bournemouth means delegates from out of town are two minutes' walk from the seafront rather than stuck at a business park, and there is on-site parking, paid on site. Office Christmas parties have a page of their own, covering the room, the timings and the HMRC staff-party rules.

Wifi, a projector screen and a microphone are on site, plus a speaker system if you need one. There is no projector itself, so bring your own laptop and projector and you are set.
An early breakfast meeting can be accommodated too, if you flag it at booking.
The venue sits inside the full run of events Ashbury hosts in Bournemouth, alongside weddings and family celebrations, all through the same room and the same kitchen.
Arrange a viewing →The room, and what is already in it
One event at a time means the room is set for your day and not turned round halfway through it. The kit that matters for a business booking is already on site.

Common questions
How much does a meeting room cost?
Ashbury Lounge has no published price list. There is a hire fee for the room and it moves with what you spend on food and drink together, so tell us your dates and headcount and we will put together a written figure for you.
How big is a 20 person conference room?
Twenty people sits comfortably inside the function room, which takes up to 100 standing or 60 seated depending on layout. A group of 20 has room to spare, seated or standing, and around 50 is the figure to plan on for a seated meeting or dinner.
Is private dining worth it?
For a delegate dinner or a client meal, having the room entirely to yourselves usually matters more than you would expect: nobody at the next table, and the conversation stays where it should. Ashbury Lounge hosts one event at a time, so a private dinner here is private.
Is there wifi, a screen and a microphone?
Yes, all three are on site, and there is a speaker system available if you need one. The screen is a projector screen and there is no projector to go with it, so bring your own along with your laptop.
Can you do an early breakfast meeting?
Yes. An early start can be accommodated if you flag it when you book, so tell us the time you need the room open and we will build the morning around it.
